New Gear: Wacom Intuos Pro M

For years I have edited my images using the touchpad on my laptop (really disliked using a mouse). But since I am transitioning to a desktop in the next couple of weeks for all my edits, my laptop will be primarily used for tethered shoots, it only felt natural to switch some of my tools. Enter the Wacom Intuois Pro Medium tablet, I had gotten it from one of my favorite stores, B&H Photo in New York.

The medium tablet measures 13.8 x 8.54”, just enough to fit on my desk with my dual monitors, keyboard and a few external drives. while the working area is a spacious 8.82 x 5.83”, plenty of room for me to move my hand around, there are 8 express keys on the outer border of the tablet for creating shortcuts for both Adobe Lightroom cc and Photoshop cc, and lastly, its Bluetooth compatible.

The Pro 2 pen has 8192 Levels of Pressure Sensitivity, tilt-response, and virtually lag-free tracking. there”s 2 positions switch on the pen; (up and down button) to create some more shortcuts. and best of all, its battery-free, so no having to pause from editing images so to charge it,

But just like any new piece of gear, whether its a lens, camera body or software, it is going to take some time to get used to it. I’ll write another blog in the near future once I get the desktop set up, and both the monitors calibrated. Then I can get the tablet set up according to my workflow and do some real edits...
