In truth, it’s challenging to define this as a traditional band. It feels more like a long-awaited journey that has simmered on the back burner for far too long—years, to be exact. This is not just a project; it’s a reflection of embracing a midlife moment of renewal and creativity. At its core, it’s about friends coming together to create music.
Initially, I dreamed of covering the resonant tracks of Bad Religion, but inspiration soon led me to the timeless sounds of The Rolling Stones, Bad Company, and The Black Crowes. This eclectic mix sparked a realization: why not celebrate all four? Each member brings a unique set of skills to the table, and with that, my vision excludes the pressures of local gigs or nationwide tours. Instead, this is an opportunity to revel in the joy of music-making. One participant has a rich history as a touring musician, and I look forward to sharing more about him and the others.
The defining feature of this project is my intention to audition a female vocalist who can infuse her spirit into our music. I’ll be adding more updates as we move forward. And yes, the project name is still being revealed… stay inspired!
